NYC

Ryan and I left our children for 5 nights while we vacationed in New York City. It was really hard leaving the kids... we had never left them for more than a night or two and we had never gone that far away from them. Once we got there we had a lot of fun. We walked and walked and walked some more. We were able to visit the Empire State Building, The Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Times Square, Soho, Greenwich Village, Brooklyn, Harlem, haggled with street vendors, and the list goes on and on. The Statue of Liberty and The Empire State Building had amazing views. Central Park was very peaceful and beautiful. In many parts of the park you couldn't see the city which amazed me because there were skyscrapers everywhere. It GFVwas really great to be able to walk practically everywhere. When we got tired we would take the subway and we did take a taxi once to Rockefeller Plaza because we were tunning late to watch the Today Show.
There was a Starbucks on every corner so we were never short on caffeine. One day we spent going in and out of all the popular stores such as Saks, Macy's, Prada, Coach, etc. Saks was very expensive. The cheapest thing we found was a spaghetti strap tank top for $168. It was on sale from $350. lol I found a fur coat for $29,400!! Crazy stuff!! Needless to say we didn't buy anything there. lol
If you haven't been I highly recommend going... everyone needs to experience it at least once and if Ryan can have a good time... well, that says A LOT!

Us

First of all I can't believe I am sitting down doing this. The only reason I am is because my very good friend told me to go to her blog so I could read another blog which was mind blowing and I want to pass it on so that hopefully more people can read it and discover God's love and grace. Since I am doing this I guess I will explain things in the Huff House at this moment. It is very peaceful because my 2 adorable children are still sleeping soundly. Once they wake the house will be very alive and full of energy. As long as they can play nice together it will be another wonderful summer day. I have been home with them all summer and I am not quite ready to go back to work and be without them all day. Of course by noon I may be wishing work would start sooner. It depends on their moods. I can't believe it but Mayci is 7! It seems crazy how fast time flies and how your babies grow so fast. She will be a second grader. Hayden is 2 and is a typical boy. He loves to be wild and pee in the grass. They are both so fun and full of life. I so thankful that God is allowing me to be a mother to these wonderful little creatures. Their Dad by the way is a wonderful too. For a late anniversary gift he is taking me to NYC (although he would probably rather be attacked by a bear) for some quality mommy & daddy time. We are going to explore the city and see as many amazing sites in the 5 days as we can. I plan to take tons of pictures that I will share when we return. I have to admit I am horrified to fly. I have never flown and never thought I would be so nervous but I am! We are leaving our kids for the first time so that may have something to do with my uneasiness.
